The Health Cabinet of Salem and the Nickerson Fire Department co-hosted a Blood Drive on Sunday, August 11 from 12:00pm-6:00 pm. A total of 15 pints were collected – potentially saving 45 lives! Thanks to all helped with this great cause.

The Health Cabinet of Salem applied for a grant thru Thrivent Financial to buy supplies needed at Care Corps in Fremont. Lots of cleaning supplies and towels were purchased and then taken to Care Corps. Thanks to the Health Cabinet for all they do!
The Youth of Salem along with their confirmation mentors retold the story of Christmas with songs, Holy Communion and of course singing “Silent Night” by candlelight. Thanks to those who made this a special service.
The Sunday School children and staff presented “The Night-So-Silent Night” during worship on Sunday, December 23, 2018. The kids did a great job of telling a great story.
Salem’s Blue Christmas/Longest Night service held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. A beautiful service remembering that Christmas is not always a joyous time for everyone. A special time of prayer and anointing were apart of this service.

A fundraiser for the comfirmation youth is under way. Flocks of flamingos have been popping up here and there.
