The Youth of Salem along with their confirmation mentors retold the story of Christmas with songs, Holy Communion and of course singing “Silent Night” by candlelight. Thanks to those who made this a special service.
The Sunday School children and staff presented “The Night-So-Silent Night” during worship on Sunday, December 23, 2018. The kids did a great job of telling a great story.
Salem’s Blue Christmas/Longest Night service held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. A beautiful service remembering that Christmas is not always a joyous time for everyone. A special time of prayer and anointing were apart of this service.
Many thanks to the Health Cabinet for Belling Ringing at Hobby Lobby over this past weekend. Thanks to all who participated in making this a merrier Christmas!
A fundraiser for the comfirmation youth is under way. Flocks of flamingos have been popping up here and there.

Salem folks with be “Cruisin'” again on October 7, 2018 to Way North Restaurant just west of Tekamah. We will leave Salem shortly after worship and start heading north. Of course we will be doing a scavenger hunt along the way. So please join us for a fun day of great food and fellowship. Caroline Mabel Siburg came into this world on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 weighing 8 lbs. 1 oz. and was 20.5″ long. Mom, dad and baby are doing great! Please keep this young family in your prayers.
