Pastor Allison Siburg felt God stirring in her a call to pastoral ministry in many ways… through outdoor ministry, music, community leadership in college, studies on vocation, mentoring relationships, and in and through her family and church’s support and “taps on the shoulder.” She has been the pastor at Salem since 2016 and takes great joy in the calling to share the Good News and administer the sacraments.
She’s a graduate of Luther Seminary (2016) and Pacific Lutheran University (2009). She and her college sweetheart, Timothy, have acclimated to living and serving in Big Red Country (mostly – what is “corn hole”?) as they grew up way out West in the Seattle area. She enjoys serving her community, playing music, baseball, and spending time with her family and especially their toddling daughter, Caroline. You might bump into Timothy throughout the Nebraska Synod as he is the Director for Stewardship and serves as a Deacon.
Come stop by church and visit, or arrange a time to visit. Her office hours at church at Mondays and Thursdays 9:00am-Noon and Wednesdays 2:30-7:30pm. She returns calls on Saturday after her Friday sabbath.
If you want to meet Pastor, the best way to do so is to talk with her about big questions about God over coffee, or come to her monthly devotion in Fremont called Crunch Cones and Jesus in the summer and Cappuccinos and Christ in the Fall/Winter/Spring… or hear the Word and receive the sacraments in worship every Sunday at 10:30am with a coffee hour following… or attend mid-week Lenten or Advent service for 6pm supper before worship at 7pm… or you might bump into her every 2nd Saturday of the month at the Faith Food Pantry at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hooper that serves hungry families in our 4-county area…and more!

In the meantime, keep this in your back pocket…
So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting the message of reconciliation to us. – 2nd Corinthians 5:17-19
